Read on for all the inspiration you will need to celebrate the jubilee weekend.
“Get your weekend off to the best start”
Pack a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc
Our Sauvignon Blanc is part of the Spanish range of still wines. With an intense and explosive nose with clean and ripe tropical fruit such as lychee and pineapple. On the palate it is dry and refreshing with a long finish of tropical fruit flavour.
The Sauvignon Blanc is perfectly paired with pasta dishes and salad. Why not prepare a pasta dish cooked in a white wine sauce to impress everyone in the street? This will taste especially good if the Great British weather plays ball and the sun comes out.
Add a bottle of Prosecco
Celebrate in style with a bottle of our Prosecco. Made from the finest Glera grapes in Italy’s Prosecco region of Veneto, our Prosecco is as distinctive as it is delicious. What’s more, it comes in a stunning cut-glass style bottle, which makes for a perfect centre piece on any table.
Pair with lobster if you are serving a fancy meal for guests, or simply as an aperitif for party goers on your street. We are sure the Queen would approve of this pairing!
Once the prosecco has been enjoyed, use the bottle decorated with fairy lights to create perfect table decorations as the evening draws in and the celebrations continue.
Don’t forget a bottle of Rioja
With aromas of fresh red fruit, blackberries and subtle notes of vanilla and aromatic herbs, this is the wine to impress your guests who love a glass of red. On the palate you will taste the dark red fruits with a hint of oak.
This red is paired perfectly with pizza and tapas, making it a great addition to a street party. It also goes very well with cheese…. meaning you can pack it up for a picnic along with your cheese selection, fruit and biscuits.
Introduce your guests to a bottle of Cordon Rosado
No jubilee celebration would be complete without a bottle of our famous Cava. Part of our Cordon range which is undoubtably one of our core and most recognisable products, a bottle of the Cordon Rosado is a must have for a street party or garden BBQ.
Expect a burst of summer fruits in every sip and indulge in the bubbles of mouth-watering strawberries. It is the combination of two charming Spanish red grape varieties that provide Cordon Rosado it’s subtle hue.
This drink goes great with cheese, desserts and fruit salads, so definitely one to bring out after the main courses have been served. For us, it seems a perfect way to finish off a day of celebration.
Try our alcohol free range along with…
To make sure all your guests are happy, don’t forget our range of alcohol free wines, meaning everyone can still celebrate the moment without compromise.
Choose from either a bottle of Freixenet 0.0% alcohol free sparkling wine or alcohol free rosé, for a refreshing and sparkling alternative. Both bottles go well with appetisers or desserts and taste great while enjoying the sunshine. A thoughtful addition to the table as we all come together in celebration for the jubilee weekend.
We hope this guide has provided some inspiration to get your weekend off to the best start. Whatever you end up doing between the 2nd and the 5th of June, we hope you have a great time with your friends and family celebrating the Queen’s
