6 Summer Cocktail Recipes

Below you will find 6 different recipes which are easy to follow and perfect for creating a tasty summer cocktail to share with friends, enjoy at a BBQ or just as a weekend treat.
Elderflower Spritz
Fresh, fruity and slightly floral, elderflower has such a lovely, summery taste. With subtle pear, lychee and tropical nuances, it goes very well with prosecco. Try this cocktail recipe for a light flavour. And it’s SUPER easy to make.
STEP 1 – Fill a wine glass with ice. Pour Freixenet ICE and elderflower liqueur into the
glass.
STEP 2 – Top with cucumber and watermelon soda and lightly stir.
STEP 3 – Garnish with a cucumber slice.
Strawberry and Vodka Slush
This simple to make tipple, delivers on taste and has all the flavours of summer.
STEP 1 – Mix one cup of strawberries, one tablespoon of sugar and one tablespoon of vodka in a blender. Blend and then freeze for around one hour so you are left with a slush.
STEP 2 – Add two spoons of the slush to a glass and top up with Freixenet Cordon Negro.
STEP 3 – Garnish with fresh strawberries.
Rhubarb Fizz
This is pretty and refreshing cocktail that uses a rosé fizz.
You may want to make the rhubarb syrup in advance: Combine 8 oz chopped rhubarb, 1 cup sugar, 2 cup water, 1/4 tsp cinnamon, 1/4 tsp nutmeg and 1/2 vanilla bean in a small pot. Bring to a boil then reduce to a simmer for 5-7 mins. Let cool completely and strain the ingredients.
The cocktail:
STEP 1 – Mix together a little bit of nutmeg, lime zest, mint leaves and lime zest together in a glass.
STEP 2 – Add 1oz of white rum, 2oz of your previously made rhubarb syrup and top up with Freixenet Cordon Rosado.
STEP 3 – Garnish with mint leaves or a thin slice of rhubarb works too.

Rosé Cava Sangria
We couldn’t share summer cocktail recipes and not include the classic sangria now, could we? This is the perfect drink to enjoy outside in the sunshine.
STEP 1 – Mix in a pitcher:
• 2 cups frozen and fresh strawberries
• 1/4 cup sugar
• 1 750ml bottle of Cordon Rosado
• 6 oz vodka
• 1/2 cup of water
• 1/2 lime squeezed
• 1 cup sliced peaches (fresh)
• 20 oz raspberry liquor
• 1-pint raspberries
STEP 2 – Serve in wine glasses.
STEP 3 – Add a strawberry and lime wedge to garnish.
Midnight Spritz
A refreshing spritz for you to enjoy this summer. A great one to have at a BBQ, catching up with friends.
STEP 1 – Mix 8cl Aperol with some lemon juice.
STEP 2 – Add strawberry puree and top up with Cordon Negro.
STEP 3 – Garnish with edible flowers and a slice of lemon.
Perfect Summer Bellini
This is our twist on a classic cocktail.
STEP 1 – In a shaker, beat together 2cl Elderflower Liquor, 1cl peach Liquor and 3cl of white peach puree.
STEP 2 – Serve the cocktail in a flute.
STEP 3 – Add the Freixenet Cordon Negro and delicately stir for your perfect summer cocktail.
